Why Encore at Avalon Park Should be Your Choice for Assisted Living

Why Encore at Avalon Park Should be Your Choice for Assisted LivingWhen considering an assisted living community, there are many things to evaluate to determine if it is the right fit for the senior in your life. However, nothing is more important than the safety of your senior loved one. At Encore at Avalon Park, we make the safety of our residents our No. 1 priority year-round. Whatever your senior’s individual needs encompass, you can rest assured that they are met while under our care. Here are a few reasons why you should choose Encore at Avalon Park.

A Safe and Secure Community

We have secured nursing protocols and COVID precautions in place to ensure your loved one is safe while in our care. Our community features:

  • Secure Grounds

Located in the heart of Avalon Park, our community is monitored around the clock and bordered by a securely landscaped courtyard composed of fountains and seating underneath a canopy of oak trees. With Publix right across the street, assistance is available for residents who wish to walk or ride to get groceries and enjoy the area’s wonderful, small-town, Americana shops and scenery.

  • Safe Visits

While neither visiting hours nor the number of visits permitted are limited, all visitors—including both essential and compassionate caregivers—must comply with temperature checks and mask mandates while in the community. Essential caregivers must be identified on their resident’s service plan, and only one compassionate caregiver per guest will be permitted at a time. Understand that these regulations are not only in place to ensure a secure and healthy community for our residents, but for our visitors and nursing staff, as well.

  • Virtual Tours

Unprecedented times require unprecedented procedures. Therefore, all of our tours have been moved to a virtual setting. While we would love to show you our community in person, this precaution is necessary for the safety of our residents.

  • Peaceful Move-Ins

We are always accepting new residents and have procedures in place to ensure that all move-ins are comfortable and safe including:

    • Limiting the number of movers and temperature screening them prior to entry
    • Requiring masks and face coverings for everyone inside the community
    • Fully sanitizing each room before move-in
    • Helping seniors transition to assisted living and learn the layout of their new home
    • Familiarizing residents with Avalon Park’s 1,860-acre neighborhood

Accessible Accommodations

At Encore at Avalon Park, our interior layout and daily schedules are designed to accommodate our residents’ every need.

  • Social Activities

When moving to a new community, it is important to remain social and keep engaged with the people around you. Therefore, we offer our seniors access to different activities, both social and recreational, in order to provide opportunities to meet new people and remain active. Our activities are friendly to seniors dealing with various impairments and our staff members are always on-hand to offer any accommodations needed.

  • Friendly Dining Spaces

Our community was designed with the needs of seniors in mind. Therefore, spaces like the dining halls have been arranged so that our seniors can enjoy a healthy and delicious meal in the company of others. However, seating may be distanced and meal times staggered to reduce the amount of seniors dining at the same time. Escort services are available and walkways are wide so that seniors can get around with ease.

  • A Dedicated Staff

The staff at Encore at Avalon Park is committed to helping our seniors in any way they can. Staff members are accessible 24-hours-a-day to tend to the needs of our residents. We also have dedicated short-term and long-term caregivers who are trained to assist seniors with:

    • Visual Impairments
    • Parkinson’s
    • Aphasia
    • Stroke

Financial Assistance

As the premier senior living solution in the Central Florida area, we strive to provide the best for our senior members, many of whom are heroes who have honorably served in our military. At Encore at Avalon Park, we accept affordable accommodation assistance for veterans and their spouses in several ways:

  • VA Pensions

Generally for senior wartime veterans with limited income and disabilities, a VA pension can help cover some senior living expenses.

  • Aid and Attendance Program

If your income is too high to qualify for a VA Pension, the Aid and Attendance Program can be especially beneficial to those who need assistance covering large medical expenses. Additionally, those who qualify for VA Pensions can still benefit from the Aid and Attendance Program as they are not mutually exclusive.

If you are unsure about your qualifications, please give us a call at 407-270-7500 to discuss our available financial assistance options or schedule your virtual tour.
