Have You Heard About Encore?

Have you heard about Encore at Avalon Park Assisted Living and Memory Care community?  The word is getting around about Encore and the great things that make Encore the best place forblog-image-nov your loved one to age in place.  In the tradition of the community design of Avalon Park, Encore is a 3-story building, made up of 6 neighborhoods each with 15 apartments.  Sixty of those apartments are dedicated to memory care and thirty apartments are focused on assisted living.  In addition to the unique building design, Encore boasts unique programming, exceptional care and unrivaled community involvement.

Have you heard about Encore’s Music and Memory Program?  The Songbird program started last year under the name Alive Inside and continues to grow and expand.  The program takes local kids from Avalon Middle School and partners them with our residents to create a musical playlist that our memory care residents can use in both activities and therapy.  The program has expanded this year by partnering with the University of Central Florida’s Research department to be able to measure the experience of the participants.

Have you heard about Encore’s phenomenal care team?  Our residents’ care is our utmost priority.  Each team member at Encore goes through extensive training on Alzheimer’s and Dementia care.  One resident’s family member said, “The minute we walked in here we felt relieved.  Everyone was so welcoming.  The level of care that my mom receives is excellent.”  Continuous education, dedication to high level of attention and care, sets our caregivers apart.  Your family is our family at Encore.

Have you heard about Encore’s community involvement?  Located in the heart of Downtown Avalon Park, being a part of the community is easy.   With more than 90 shops, restaurants, doctors’ offices and professional services within a short walking distance, Encore residents are able to enjoy the luxury of being able to access the services of a having a full-fledged community at their fingertips.  This location also affords for several community partnerships.  Groups like the American Legion, the Rotary Club of Avalon Park and St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church meet in Carnegie Hall, Encore’s community outreach room.  Additionally, some of our favorite activity partners come from the local elementary, high, middle and pre-schools.
