The Rotary Club of Avalon Park is a local community service organization located in East Orlando that is part of the world's first service club organization: Rotary International.  The Rotary meets every week at Encore at Avalon Park, 7:15 a.m. in Carnegie Hall. Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self. Jet Setters Monthly Meeting

The Jetsetters is an active senior group in Avalon Park that was organized in 2008. Members are 55 and older. We meet at Encore on the second Wednesday of every month at 1pm, we have a guest speaker at every meeting. Some of our activities include game day, bingo, breakfast locally twice a month, lunch locally twice a month, and day trips to local attractions. We have visited Leu Gardens, museums, Jungle Adventure, Gatorland, both Sanford and Brevard Zoos, plays at UCF and Valencia colleges and many other places.
